Word Quest Review
If you like word searches you're going to love Word Quest.
Word Quest is brought to us by the developers who delivered the excellent Bee Patrol, IslandJohn. They've taken the classic word search game and added their own twist.
The usual aim where you search for hidden words within a board of jumbled letters is available but the game also turns the classic mode on it's head and offers a few other options.
- Classic: The normal mode, find all the words as quickly as possible in an unlimited time
- Rush: Race against the clock to find all the words
- Shift: The board scrolls as you uncover more words
- Action: The ultimate challenge, a shifting board with a limited time to complete
The four modes add variety to the standard word search game and the different difficulty settings mean Word Quest is accessible to everyone. Along with these options you also get to select from different topics of words.
One of my favorite features is the way in which you select words. As you swipe across letters, the screen zooms in slightly and displays a large transparent letter so you know you're marking the correct letter.
If you don't like swiping words you can tap the first and last letters of a word to select it.
Word Quest is an excellent game if you like puzzles, it's got crisp and clear graphics, it's addictive and it contains modes for everyone.
Go and get it downloaded and cross it off your list of must have puzzler games for this year!
Note: The version reviewed costs 59p but there's also a lite version available for free and.
