My Virgin Islands is a mobile guide to the US Virgin Islands. If you want to know what to do when you visit or if you are just interested in learning about the Virgin Islands, this is the app for you. It’s even a good source for the local residents!

This app offers loads of information about Historical sites, shopping, local events, festivals, and lots more. For your shopping needs, you will find just about all kinds of stores listed. You just choose which category of shopping you want to do and click on the store you want to visit.

You can get all of the store information; phone number, website, and address. You can even view it on Google Map without leaving the app. There is also a section for all of the beaches with their information. There are constant updates giving you scheduled events for each month. From art galleries to monthly festivals, you can find the even that’s just for you. I even found a section that gives a list of recipes. Recipes ranging from Baked Ginger Chicken to Pina Coladas. I think I’ll be utilizing that and I’m not even planning to go to the Virgin Islands.

Hotel and resort accommodations are easy and with the use of the Google map, you can get directions to the different places you want to visit, to and from your hotel. There is even an "Inter-Island Travel" guide that gives you the different services offered to travel from one Island to another. There is also a listing of airline flights to and from the Virgin Islands with links to the airlines websites.

The design and presentation is very good. Nice colorful pictures for the individual services, businesses, beaches, and festivals. The different sections make it easy to explore the app. I was able to find out and answer any question I had about the Virgin Islands. There is also contact information that allows you to ask questions or give feedback. It seems to use a browser that allows you to visit the different websites of businesses, stores, and airlines listed without causing you to leave the app. I find that very convenient.

I give this app 5 out of 5 stars. It had everything I expected in a travel guide and more. As a matter of fact, it was much better than other travel guides I’ve viewed on the internet. Even though I do not plan to visit the Virgin Islands, I’ve found it to still be useful. For $1.99 you definitely get your money’s worth.
