Met Office Weather Application Review
The app stores not short on weather apps and Met Office is a free weather app which provides in depth weather data to help you plan your days (the app is UK based)
If you're happy with the iPhones native weather app you may want to know what to know some of the extra features Met Office has:
- Select default location based on your current position or search for it by town/location
- View sunset, temp and windspeed throughout the day
- Find out the weather for the next 5 days
- View a map of the UK with temp, wind and cloud cover/rain overlays
The forecast is indicated in summary for each day and includes pictoral symbol, temperature, wind speed/direction and sunrise and sunset times which is handy. The forecast can then be split into more accurate 3 hour intervals giving more detailed info on visibility and humidity etc. There's also the traditional TV weather maps to view and you can search for other locations (in addition to your current location) which remain saved under the 'Search' category.
In fairness, any weather app is only as good as how accurate it's predictions are and this app gets it's data from the Met Office, which is the UKs national weather service so you can be confident you're getting one of the most accurate forecasts available.
