Marble Slalom Review
Marble Slalom is a game that utilises the iPhones accelerometer to control and guide a marble across 21 different levels, avoiding obstacles and trying to make it to the end in the quickest time possible.
Some of the features included in Marble Slalom are:
- 3 pages with 7 levels each
- Ghost mode enables you to race against your previous time
- Online or local play
- Create an online account and compete against other users for the best time
What's good about Marble Slalom is it's quite forgiving, you won't be falling off ledges and being put back to the start and if you do happen to stray off course there's plenty of checkpoints. This means even the most heavy handed gamer can pick up and play withour getting frustrated.
One thing I did find on initial opening was it's quite confusing to find out what you have to do to start playing. Rather than using words for each option, the developers use letters and if you don't read the help page you might struggle to get going.
Marble Slaloms good fun and the online mode ensures there's always something to come back to, even when you've completed all the levels. The graphics, although only 2D, are clear and the overall presentation is very polished with the an emphasis on Apples lickable button style. If you don't want to try before you buy there's also a Marble Slalom Lite version available for free.
